Earth Day Celebration 2025! -- Event A (after 9am Mass)
St. Francis of Assisi Parish celebrates our beautiful planet together in Fellowship Hall! Join in as we recognize our call to "Care for God's Creation" and uphold our mission given by Pope Francis in Laudato Si'.

"Care for the earth is not just an Earth Day slogan, it is a requirement of our faith. We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God’s creation." - USCCB
Volunteers will be needed to help run 1 of 6 different education stations at the event. These stations include:
- (1) a Recycling Station
- (2) a Composting Station
- (3) a Butterfly Garden Station
- (4) a Laudato Si' Station
- (5) an Eco-Video Game Station
- and (6) a "Guess Your Impact" Game Station.
Assignment of which education station you will be at will be given when volunteers arrive the day of the event (the Laudato Si' station will be reserved however for the parish LSAP Committee).
No prior knowledge of the table topic is needed or required! All informational materials and other table items will be provided to you by the Care for Creation Issue Team. Each station volunteer will receive an orientation upon arrival of what to share with each parishioner who comes to their station.
