Brown Bag Ministry prepares and distributes brown bag lunches every Saturday morning to a low-income senior citizen apartment community in Durham. Did you know that nationwide, 1 in 14 seniors age 60 and older was food insecure in 2021? (Feeding America)
Brown Bag Ministry welcomes groups and families of all ages to participate. Volunteers work together to make sandwiches, pack lunches, gather in brief communal prayer, and experience face-to-face contact with people in need. More details are provided. The time commitment is approximately 9am-12pm. Experienced families may finish a bit earlier.
