WHAT IS ST. FRANCIS SERVES?

St. Francis Serves is the volunteer site for all service-oriented and non-monetary donation opportunities offered by our ministries at The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi. This platform helps staff and individuals track user sign-ups and hours, offer information about various parish departments and ministries, and shares ministry leader information.

In order to sign-up for an opportunity, individuals must create an account first.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Why did our Parish choose to use St. Francis Serves?
A1: Simple answer: To create a one-stop shop for all things service related.
A2: Longer answer: Before we moved to SFS, all service opportunities were shared via separate SignUp Genius links (there were a lot!). Switching to SFS allows us to not only provide a one-stop shop for every opportunity, doing away with multiple links for parishioners to keep track of, but it also allows us to better report data/trends, explain our ministries fuller, highlight upcoming events/drives, showcase volunteer blog stories, and even more!

Q: Do I need to create an account to look through the site?
A: You do not! The only time you will be asked to create an account or sign-in is when you sign-up for an opportunity/event.

Q: How do I find a specific ministry’s available opportunities?
A: On the left-side menu, click on “Find a Ministry”. Here you can click the name of a ministry to bring up a calendar of their specific opportunities.

Q: How do I sign up as an individual, or as a group?
A: When you open an opportunity, you will see a list of all current openings. Select “Sign Up” or “Sign Up as Group” if available. When you sign up as a group, you will be asked to create a team or use an existing one you’ve created. Select or name your team, mark yourself as the group leader and select the number of additional slots you would like (ex. you have a group of 3, so you mark 2 additional slots).

Q: How do I contact a ministry leader directly?
A: On the left-side menu, click on “Find a Ministry”. A ministry leader’s contact information will be listed under their ministry.
