What We Do

In partnership with the resettlement organization, U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), come share time, talent and/or treasure setting up homes for refugees arriving in our area. Assist with St. Francis led full home set ups, partner organization set ups in need of additional help (with Welcome House Raleigh and Lutheran Services of the Carolinas), and Furniture Bank donations either as you work with others to identify, collect & deliver household goods, or several times annually for St. Francis’ household donations drives.

Tasks Needed: cleaning; setting up areas of a home with decor and supplies; collecting and delivering donated furnishings and household goods in your vehicle; moving furnishings into and out of storage and homes; cooking a Welcome Home meal; grocery shopping to stock the pantry; donating used household goods; shopping for and/or donating toiletry and cleaning supplies, etc. We care for our resources by reusing and repurposing many items as we welcome and ease the transition for our new neighbors.
