What is it and how does it work?
- These meals feed our families when no one signs up on the calendar and can be dropped off any time Clare Hall is open, typically 7:00 am- 5:00 pm.
- These can be a traditional casserole, a side dish, soup, stew, chili, grilled chicken, cooked burgers, cooked pizza slices, etc.
- Meals should be portioned for 1-4 people, as our families are small. (8x8 inch pan is a good size)
- Meals should be refrigerated, not frozen.
- Attach a label to the outside of each meal titled Caring Casserole that includes all ingredients (or the recipe), the number of portions, and reheating instructions.
- Since many of our families have allergies and dietary restrictions, vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free meals are greatly appreciated.
- If a casserole could be gluten-free without breadcrumbs, please put those on the side so that it could go to one of our gluten-free families.
- Deliver meals to the Caring Casseroles refrigerator in the Feed the Need room in Clare Hall.
Drop off procedure:
- Enter campus from Leesville Rd, pull into the portico by the mailbox (Look for the red arrow sign!)
- Turn your car off and your flashers on and enter the side door to Clare Hall.
- Turn left and the Feed the Need room is next to the restrooms. (If you get to Fellowship Hall, you went too far!)
- Place meals in the stainless-steel Caring Casseroles refrigerator.
The building is open from 7am to 5pm, Monday – Friday
